my name is anja schreiner and i am a jewelry designer. growing up in germany, in a very creative household, i always knew that i will work in design. my mother is an artist and therefore i was surrounded by creative energy all my life. i guess some of her talents have rubbed off on me - thankfully. i have lived in los angeles califronia for 15 years and resently moved to las vegas nevada. to be inspired by extensive travels, different cultures and the vibe of a particular city is a wonderful creative asset to me.
i have been making jewelry for about 11 years now. designing new pieces is a necessity for me, i need it like air. i love the creative process that builds up when i find new materials and the forcefulness of new ideas wanting to be put into life. the reason why jewelry became my outlet is probably my love for stones and wood. the feel on your skin of these empowered natural materials and the energy that they emit is something that i treasure very much. and secondly, i believe that our bodies are our true temples. so, wanting to decorate them in the most possible beautiful way seems very logic to me.
i choose all materials very carefully with my heart and soul. as i said i need to feel the energy from a certain stone and the warmth of a wood. i try to use all materials in their rawest from as possible. i might use a dyed stone here or there, to complete a design that would otherwise not be possible. but over all, my jewelry is charged with energy that the wearer will definitely feel and enjoy. some designs take more time then others to form, but that is the beauty of the process. at the end every piece of jewelry has to be just right and an extension of real ideas, feelings and energies. and if you feel that, when you put on a piece of schreiner design, i have succeeded.
my jewelry is a reflection of my many travels, studies and just a general love for color and unique designs. a much needed outlet for my free spirited energy comes alive on this web site. most of my jewelry are one of a kind pieces and all are hand made. so, enjoy browsing through these colorful pages and i hope to be able to enrich your lives with lighthearted, free spirited and holistic designs as much as it enriches mine creating them...
